This space under #28 was a well known Chinese restaurant for decades. When they finally closed, the costs to update the space to code was prohibitive for the owner. Nobody is quite sure, and a message to the owner has gone unanswered, but myself and a number of others believe they have been running, in the grand Milwaukee tradition, an underground music club in this space. And it sure does look the part. Thus I'm putting it on the list.
